After days of rumors, energy drink company Red Bull has purchased the MLS MetroStars soccer team, as reported by the Associated Press. Red Bull issued a press release announcing the purchase, and has set up their Red Bull New York team page.
It will be interesting to see how the corporation will choose to
clean house, and decide which players, coaches, management executives
to keep. I wouldn't be surprised to see everyone shown the door.
