Time to throw a party, BlackBerry users! Last week, Research
In Motion announced a $612.5 million
settlement with NTP. The settlement eliminates the threat of
a shutdown of the wireless network for BlackBerry devices, and gives
RIM a fully paid license to continue using NTP technology.
About the only losers in this settlement are BlackBerry
haters, who will no doubt continue to have to put up with annoying
tapping sounds of typing on these devices.
