The U.S.
Supreme Court has declined to hear Research
in Motion, Ltd.'s (RIM) appeal on a patent infringment suit,
as reported by the Associated Press.
The lower court had ruled against the BlackBerry maker, and
this decline by the Supreme Court to hear RIM's appeal paves the way
for injunction by the lower court. Injunctive relief may
include damages, and blocking/disabling the use of Blackberry devices
within the United Series, which will turn them into expensive
paperweights.
